Wrigleyville bars need something to set them apart from each other, the cluster of Clark Street indistinguishable sports bars selling miller lite cans and bottles by the case. Luckily for Sports Corner and its major renovation in 2010, this place is a must-visit before, after or during a Cubs game. You really can’t beat a place with a roof deck in the summer, affording you views of the surrounding neighborhood most likely swarming with inebriated Cubs fans. They also have outdoor seating on the ground level. The place is huge; if you can’t find a spot on the roof deck choose from two other floors. The place has tons of TV’s to make sure the game is on in every direction you look.

They’ve got a full menu of typical bar food and the service can be spotty, but you come to Sports Corner for the Cubs atmosphere and close proximity to Wrigley Field and the Red Line.

About Tessa McLean

There is just something about that feeling when you have been away — maybe for a weekend, a month, 6 months — and you’re driving into Chicago and that first glimpse of the city skyline appears. It just always makes me smile.
