As a self-proclaimed sushi connoisseur, I have a number of favorite sushi spots throughout the city. However, Ringo stands out from the others as a result of its convenient location and very reasonable prices. Located in the heart of Lincoln Park not far from DePaul’s campus, Ringo is what some might describe as a hole in the wall spot and is easy to miss. But don’t let the small space and casual ambiance fool you, because their sushi is top notch! My personal favorite (and a staple to my diet that I can’t go more than a week or two without) is their signature Crunchy California roll, which is drizzled with a delectable cream cheese sauce. So yum! For those who are less sushi obsessed than I, Ringo also offers other Japanese themed dishes such as Chicken Teriyaki and Shrimp Tempura. Ringo’s alcohol list is limited, so people are encouraged to BYOB if you are a picky drinker. Fast and friendly service, great location, even better deals, and delicious sushi…nothing more needs to be said!
