Nightlife in Beverly & Mount Greenwood

Western Avenue spans a far greater distance than any other street in Chicago. And on this street, nestled on the South Side, lies a stretch of land 2.5 miles long. And on this stretch of land, on any given weekend, you will find a number of people filtering their way in and out of the different bars scattered along the street. The bars on Western Avenue are an integral part of the Beverly/Mount Greenwood Neighborhoods. South-siders flock to Western Avenue on the weekend, bound to run into a familiar face. It was home to the South Side Irish Parade before it was tragically cancelled in 2009. Some may frequent one bar more than another, but whether you’re looking for a relaxed night of drinking in a beer garden or bouncing around on your own little bar crawl, Western offers more than enough opportunities.
