This New York transplant (they have three New York restaurants and one in Miami) is a great place to get interesting Mexican food in a fun and vibrant atmosphere. Multiple types of guacamole, ceviche and tacos can’t be missed. Fresh pressed tortillas always make the difference. Servings are small so you can try multiple dishes without eating too much like you usually would at your typical Mexican place. Enjoy one (or two) of their fun and delicious cocktails. The margarita menu is extensive and inventive and with over 200 tequilas on site, the bartenders can help you fix up the perfect Mexican cocktail. You even can order your margarita on fire, but you’ll have to blow it out when you get it.

We had great service. We ordered one of the delicious flans (they have 3 flavors) and two arrived to our table! It is very noisy, so it is better for a gathering with familiar friends than a place to get to know people. I think it would be perfect for a small birthday party. It is also always busy, so reserve ahead for dinner and expect a crowd. They also serve Sunday brunch.

About Guest

UPchicago guests are people we trust, value, and would want to be more involved if they didn't have such fabulous and busy lives already.
