Ok, ok. So riding around in a huge red bus isn’t far off from stamping TOURIST across your forehead, but that doesn’t mean you should jump on the bandwagon. I mean, c’mon.. you ARE a tourist. And Chicago’s Double-Decker Hop-On, Hop-Off Tour really is one of the best ways to see the city. I’m a local, and I’ve even been on it. Twice. The bus takes you all around downtown Chicago and the Loop, stopping at many of the city’s biggest attractions, museums and sights.

Tours operate between 9am and 5pm every day (excluding some holidays), and you can hop on or off at any stop. The Signature Tour includes the following attractions, among many more:

The Magnificent Mile (Shopping!!)
Millennium Park
Downtown Theater District
The Art Institute of Chicago
South Loop Museum Campus
John Hancock Center
Willis (Sears) Tower

Hours of Operation:
May 23 – September 7: 9:00 AM until 8:00pm PM (Last pickup is at 6:00 PM)
September 8 – May 28: 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM (Last pickup is at 4:00 PM)
The tour runs seven days a week, excluding inclement weather days, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.
