Farmer’s markets are another one of those joys of summer. Wandering through stalls of fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, and oh the delicious cheeses is enough to bring out the chef in anyone. And if you’re just not a chef no matter how hard you try, it is free sample city. Farmers and local growers from the surrounding areas set up shop in different locations around Chicago at one of the cities fantastic farmer’s markets. Markets are held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays in over 20 neighborhoods throughout the city. There are also numerous independent markets throughout the city.
