Here we will continue with this series of articles in which we include a month-by-month guide of what’s up at this summer’s street festivals. June is finally here, that wonderful month were it actually starts to get warm. Bring on the festivals!

Chicago Mayfest

When: June 2-5
Where: 4700 N. Lincoln. Lincoln and Leland, Lincoln Square neighborhood.
Price: Free
Basic Info: Mayfest in June? Oh, those silly Germans with their giant steins and delicious German food. You can get all that at Lincoln Square’s Mayfest complete with maypole dancing and a Mayfest queen.

Eastside Millennium Art Festival
When: June3-5
Where: Michigan Ave. and Lake Street
Price: Free
Basic Info: This downtown arts festival features 175 artists, food vendors, live music and kids activities.

Chicago Tribune Printers Row Lit Fest
When: June 4-5
Where: Dearborn and Congress
Price: Free
Basic Info: This literary arts fest features new and used book sales, author visits and book signings, discussions and storytelling.

Chicago Gospel Music Festival
When: June 5-6
Where: 201 E. Randolph, Museum Campus
Price: Free
Basic Info: It’s exactly what it sounds like. Catch more than 50 live performances.

Do Division Street Fest and Sidewalk Sale
When: June 4-5
Where: 2000 W. Division, Ukrainian Village
Price: $5 donation
Basic Info: Ten blocks of beer, food, and sidewalk sale shopping with live music. New bands and DJs perform almost every hour.

June Jam
When: June 4-5
Where: 3500 N. Hoyne. Hoyne and Cornelia, Roscoe Village.
Price: $5 donation
Basic Info: Food and drink vendors, rides, kids activities, and live bands.

57th Street Art Fair
When: June 4-5
Where: 57th & Kenwood
Price: Free
Basic Info: Over 250 artists gather at this University of Chicago art fest featuring painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, and more.

Lakeview Sausage Fest
When: June 4-5
Where: Sheffield & Addison
Price $5 and up
Basic Info: This Wrigleyville fest will focus on the best sausage in town including Paulina Meat Market, Chicago Dog House, and more selling delicious encased meat. A “Sausage King” will be crowned and live music and arts and crafts will be present.

Chicago Blues Festival
When: June 10-12
Where: 300 S. Columbus Drive, Grant Park.
Price: Free
Basic Info: The largest free outdoor blues event in the world! Six different stages throughout Grant Park with great blues music all weekend long.

Ribfest Chicago
When: June 10-12
Where: 4000 N. Lincoln, Lincoln and Irving Park Road.
Price: $5 donation
Basic Info: Ribs, ribs, ribs! Including a rib eating contest, other local food vendors, and live music.

Party at St. Mikes
When: June 10-12
Where: 1711 N. Cleveland, Old Town.
Price: $5
Basic Info: Food and drink vendors, live music, and activities all on the grounds of St. Michael’s Church.

Andersonville Midsummer Fest
When: June 11-12
Where: 5200 N. Clark, Andersonville.
Price: $5 donation
Basic Info: Food and drink vendors and live music.

Old Town Art Fair
When: June 11-12
Where: 300 W. Wisconsin, Old Town/Lincoln Park.
Price: $7 donation
Basic Info: Art displays and artwork for sale. Food and drink vendors, a garden walk, live music, and kids activities all also available.

Wells Street Art Festival
When: June 11-12
Where: 1300 N. Wells Street, Old Town.
Price: $7-10 donation
Basic Info: Live bands, a silent auction, food and drink vendors, and tons and tons of art.

Fiesta Puertorriquenas
When: June 14-19
Where: 1400 N. Sacramento, Humboldt Park.
Price: Free
Basic Info: This fest is a celebration of Puerto Rican culture in a heavily Puerto Rican neighborhood. Food and drink vendors, craft vendors, and live music on site.

Chicago Peace Fest
When: June 17-19
Where: 1700 N. Stockton Drive, Lincoln Park.
Price: Free
Basic Info: Food and craft vendors, speakers, and live music.

Festa Pasta Vino
When: June 17-19
Where: 2400 S. Oakley Avenue, Little Tuscany.
Price: $3-7 donation
Basic Info: Like Italian food? This fest is for you. Authentic food, live entertainment, and kids activities.

Midsummer Festival
When: June 18-20
Where: 2500 W. Bryn Mawr, West Rogers Park.
Price: $5 donation
Basic Info: Food and drink vendors, craft vendors, live music, and kids activities.

Taste of Randolph
When: June 17-19
Where: 900 W. Randolph, West Loop.
Price: $10 donation
Basic Info: Lots of food vendors and live music.

Randolph Street Market Festival
When: June 25-26, July 24-25, August 28-29, September 25-26
Where: 1350 W. Randolph, West Loop.
Price: $10, $5 for students.
Basic Info: This is a more serious festival, more for the buying crowd and less for the drinking, eating, and listening crowd (aka me). This indoor/outdoor market features antiques, indie designer apparel, fancy foods, and vintage collectibles.

Taste of Chicago
When: June 24-July 3
Where: 100 E. Congress Parkway, Grant Park.
Price: Free

Chicago Pride Fest
When: June 24-25
Where: 3700 N. Halsted, Halsted and Waveland, Boystown.
Price: $7-$10 donation
Basic Info: This weekend festival culminates in the Gay Pride Parade Sunday that celebrates the GLBT community. Live music and performances, food vendors, arts and craft vendors. The parade is a must-see and the whole fest is a great time!

Chicago Summerfest
When: June 25-26
Where: 2000 N. Clark, Lincoln Park.
Price: $5
Basic Info: Food vendors, live music, and art.

Green Music Fest
When: June 25-26
Where: 1600 W. Ashland Avenue, Chicago and Ashland, Ukranian Village.
Price: $5
Basic Info: This festival celebrates and promotes all things green. Live music and eco-friendly demos.
