Streeterville Neighborhood Guide

Neighborhood Overview
Just steps away from the action on North Michigan Avenue, Streeterville enjoys the radiating energy of the Magnificent Mile, without being right in the thick of it. The area is surrounded by lots of things to see and do, with easy access to the the Chicago River, Oak Street Beach, Navy Pier, and a multitude of shopping and restaurant options.
Don’t expect to get a lot of peace and quiet here, but you can count on never running out of things to do. The Museum of Contemporary Art resides here, as do many of the city’s only remaining buildings from the Great Chicago Fire.
One of the best things about this area is the easy access to public transportation. The Red Line stops nearby, as do quite a few buses. Just don’t plan on driving around here — parking is, well, scarce to say the least! The neighborhood is also home to Northwestern Medical Center, a world-class facility.
