Cafe 103 (Restaurant, Beverly, BYOB)
Location: 1909 W. 103rd St.
Cuisine: Contemporary American
This Beverly spot has a great seasonal menu featuring contemporary American food at affordable prices. The small white-tablecloth dining room is decorated with minimalistic accents and just ten tables, so you’re guaranteed an intimate atmosphere.
The menu isn’t extensive, but does have great selections like Seared Alaskan Halibut and Chicken Paella. Lunch and Dinner menus vary, but entrees remain at low prices, with the most expensive option being a Grilled Filet on the dinner menu at $30. The lunch menu features burgers, soups, salads, and a daily panini, though there are often two options — one vegetarian and one for us carnivores. If you choose to bring your own booze (the place is BYO) there’s a small corkage fee. Lunch and dinner are served Wednesday through Saturday, and brunch is served Sundays from 10am-3pm.
Beverly’s Pantry is an adjacent shop featuring cookware, kitchen accessories, and gourmet foods, including foods from vendors like the Chicago Chocolate Company and Intelligentsia Coffee, Tea, and Cocoa. Cafe 103 and Beverly’s Pantry team up for public and private events, including dinner, cocktail and birthday parties. The space also hosts cooking classes for adults and children, including specialized courses based on Gluten-free food, grilling, and more. The “Cool Kids Cook” after-school and summer programs teach children nutrition and help them learn to prepare meals at home. Check out Beverly’s Pantry here.
